Beckett's Table debuts on Wednesday, Oct. 27 on Indian School Road.
Beckett is keeping the menu affordable. You will find contemporary comfort food under $19.
That would include appetizers like grits and andouille sausage ($8), lobster and boursin enchiladas ($10) and a combo of red pepper tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich ($9).
Among the main dishes are chicken and dumplings ($16), beef Bourguignon pot pie ($16), pork osso buco confit with butternut squash spaetzle ($17), green chile pork stew ($14) and blood orange-glazed salmon ($18).
The sides ($5) look tempting: roasted organic root vegetables; bacon cheddar biscuits; and macaroni and cheese with pancetta. Desserts ($5).
Notable itesm include the pecan pie with buttermilk ice cream, but others may desire crème brulee, brioche bread pudding or chocolate-dipped bacon s'mores.
Beckett has also put together an appealing collection of beverages. Along with cocktails, sangria and draft beers, he's crafted an extensive wine list that ranges from $17 to $49 a bottle. Another wallet-friendly touch: all wines are offered by the glass and pichet - a half bottle-sized carafe - at proportionate cost.
